What this assumes
  • Print → Save as PDF produces a text-based PDF that an applicant tracking system can parse. A screenshot or a scan would be just an image to it.
  • Bullet points should lead with an outcome and a number — “cut manual work by 6 hours a week” beats “responsible for reconciliation”.
  • Keep it to one page for up to about five years of experience. Recruiters spend seconds on the first pass.
  • Do not add a photo, date of birth or marital status for most roles in India, and never for a US or UK employer.

About the resume builder

Most resumes get rejected by software before a human reads them. Applicant tracking systems read the text in order, so a two-column design, a headshot, a table of skills or a decorative graphic sidebar can scramble the order of your sentences and drop the keywords a recruiter is searching for.

This builder produces the format that survives that pipeline: a single column, standard section headings, plain text content and no images. Fill in the form on the left and the CV builds itself on the right, updating as you type.

When you are happy with it, use Print → Save as PDF (or the download button for a plain-text version you can paste into an application form). Nothing is uploaded — your details stay in your browser and vanish when you close the tab, unless you deliberately download them.

Frequently asked questions

How long should my resume be?

One page for up to about five years of experience, two pages beyond that, and never more than two unless you are an academic with a publication list. Recruiters spend seconds on the first pass, and a third page mostly dilutes the strong parts.

What does ATS-friendly actually mean?

Machine-readable: one column, no tables or text boxes, no text inside images, standard headings like Experience and Education, and the job's own keywords written naturally into your bullet points. Fancy layouts that look good in a design tool often parse into unusable soup.

Should I include a photo or my date of birth?

Not for most roles in India in 2026, and never for an application to a US or UK employer — it creates a discrimination-liability problem for them and gets you filtered out. Skills and outcomes fill that space far better than personal details.

How do I save the resume as a PDF?

Tap Print / Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. That produces a text-based PDF that an ATS can read, unlike a screenshot or a scan, which is just an image to the software.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. The form runs entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. Your draft is kept in this browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose it, and you can clear it with the Reset button.
