Class share link

One link a student sends to classmates: they view the deck and comment without an account. The strongest in-app viral loop.

It is the short code at the bottom of your deck's page once it has finished building.

Sharing a presentation with your class without a file transfer

Sending a .pptx to thirty classmates means thirty downloads, thirty chances to open an outdated version, and a group chat that fills up with questions nobody can search. A share link solves that: one URL, the deck opens in the browser, and the feedback lands in one place.

It matters most for group work, which is how most college projects are actually done. When four people are editing the same presentation, the usual outcome is four copies called presentation_final_v3.pptx and nobody knows which one is real. A link gives everyone the same deck, and the comment thread keeps the decisions attached to the slide they came from.

Viewers do not need an account. They open the link, read the deck, and can leave a comment. SlideForge never exposes the name, email address or roll number of whoever created it, so a link is safe to put in front of people you have just met.

Worth knowing

  • Create the link after the deck is generated and ready; an unfinished deck should not be the one your class sees.
  • Ask for comments on the content rather than the colours — you can restyle in ten minutes, rewrite in ten hours.
  • Put the link in the group description, not just in a message that scrolls away.
  • Delete the link when the project is done if you would rather the deck not stay online.
